SPLIT project presented in the program "Há Volta" in RTP 1

The SPLIT Project was presented in “Volta ao Conhecimento”, an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education which accompanies the 80th Tour of Portugal by Bicycle on the TV channel RTP1, on August 1, 2018. Under the rubric "Scientists in the Tour" SPLIT Project, developed by the Superior School of Health of Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (ESS / IPS), was presented to the public. This project aims to improve the quality of care provided to patients with low back pain, the most prevalent rheumatic and musculoskeletal pathology in Portugal.

The project, which has as its motto "Customizing to better treat low back pain," aims ultimately to drastically reduce the number of patients with chronic low back pain. Next September will begin the training of General Practitioners and Physiotherapists of the Arrábida Health Center Group of Primary Care to start this challenge.
