SPLIT Project Training for GPs

On September 21st and October 19th, the first session of the SPLIT Project was held on the theme "Low back pain - Clinic and Differential Diagnosis". The lecturers include the Rheumatologists Ana Rodrigues and Helena Canhão, both researchers at Nova Medical School, a partner institution of the project.

The session was designed to enable health professionals to implement the innovative model proposed by the research project, which aims to refer to the differential treatment of those with low back pain who resort to primary health care, depending on whether they are low, medium or high risk of developing persistent and disabling pain.

This session was attended by 62 General Practitioners from the different health units of ACES Arrábida.
